Detachment-induced gene expression changes in four lung adenocarcinoma cell lines, H2009, LC-2/ad, H2228, and HCC4006.

Listed in NCBI GEO

The aims of the study was to analyze gene expression changes induced by detachment from culture plate.

Description

Of the genes upregulated in detached state, we focused on MUC21, a membrane-anchored mucin, that was previously shown to exhibit anti-adhesive property. Using MUC21-KO cells, we demonstrated that MUC21 play a critical role in the growth and survival of lung adenocarcinoma cells both in attached and detached state.
