Measurement and Simulation of the Production Cross Sections for ²²Na and ²⁴Na in Al Targets Irradiated with ²⁰⁹Bi Beam

The experiment was performed using an 850 MeV/u 209Bi beam impinging on a 14-layer stacked Al target. The production cross sections were determined using the activation method combined with offline γ-ray spectrometry.

For comparison and benchmarking, corresponding theoretical predictions calculated using the FLUKA Monte Carlo code with the RQMD model and the PHITS Monte Carlo code with the JQMD + GEM model are also included.This work helps to refine heavy-ion reaction models and offers useful benchmarks for model validation at intermediate and high energies.The details are described as follows: Cross_section.xlsx : Energy-cross section data from present measurement.
