Data and code from: Dietary analysis of wild and hatchery juvenile Chinook salmon (<em>Oncorhynchus tshawytscha</em>) in the Fraser River estuary reveals ontogenetic and foraging differences

STOMACH_CONTENTS_PR.csv (293 records) lists individual prey items recovered from dissected stomachs, with prey taxon, prey group, weight, count, and associated fish and site metadata. FULLNESS_PR.csv (182 records) gives fish-level stomach fullness (percent of body mass), fork length, size class, and habitat and site data. STABLE_ISOTOPES_PR.csv (257 records) contains δ¹³C and δ¹⁵N values from liver and dorsal muscle tissue, with corresponding fish size, habitat, and stock assignment data.

Fish were sampled across 17 named sites in the estuary. The dataset supports research on juvenile salmon diet, trophic ecology, and estuarine habitat use, and may be reused for wild-hatchery comparisons, cross-habitat diet analysis, or as isotope baseline data for the Fraser River estuary. No species at risk were sampled, and no personally identifiable information is included.
