The Acceptance Data Package (ADP) consists of the documents that the responsible consortium of companies provided to DLR upon delivery of the telescope.
Description
The consortium was led by MAN Technologies GmbH and Kayser Threde GmbH. The ADP comprises approximately 150 A4 binders, which are often referred to here as "volumes" or "tomes." The ADP contains the complete technical documentation for the telescope, which was prepared by the companies responsible for the respective systems and subsystems.
The main components of the ADP are technical drawings, parts lists, Interface Control Documents (ICD), circuit diagrams, etc. It also includes strength and quality certificates, test reports, and system and software test reports. This document includes, among other things, a complete list of the ADP folders (Table 5), a list of participating companies and organizations (Table 2), and a complete overview of the hardware breakdown structure and the corresponding numbering (Table 6).
Note
Since the ADP is not based on the strict classification system of the HBS nomenclature, we strongly recommend that you first search for information and documents in the 0000 SOFIA Telescope Assembly Dataverse. Most documents can be easily identified there by their name and HBS number. In the ADP repository, these may need to be searched for in very large PDF files (400+ pages) or are difficult to identify due to uninformative file names.
