BEtter understanding and GRIP for people with FND through an online educational module (BEGRIP)

This goal of this study is to examine whether an online, non-therapist-guided educational module ‘Grip on FND’ is feasible, acceptable and can improve understanding and acceptance. This mixed-methods pilot included questionnaires at baseline, one month, and two months, as well as focus group interviews.

The module addresses symptoms, causes (including the development of a personalised diagnostic formulation), treatment, and coping. Feasibility was assessed through adherence and engagement. Understanding and acceptance were measured using the Illness Perception Questionnaire-Revised (IPQ-R).
