Flora of Annapurna Conservation Area, Central Nepal, Part 1: Specimen-Based Occurrence Records from Manang District (TUCH Collection)

These collections represent a total of 784 taxa , comprising 757 species , 15 subspecies , and 14 varieties from 112 plant families . The taxa with the highest number of specimens include: Rhododendron lepidotum (15 specimens) Neopicrorhiza scrophulariiflora (14) Anaphalis triplinervis (13) Halenia elliptica (13) Anaphalis contorta (12) Rhododendron anthopogon (12) Salvia nubicola (12) Asteraceae (257 species) is the most species-rich family, followed by Rosaceae (164 species), Lamiaceae (118), Gentianaceae (104), Ranunculaceae (91), Fabaceae (89), Polygonaceae (83), and Ericaceae (78).

The earliest herbarium specimen from the Manang District archived at TUCH was collected on June 7, 2001 , by Chaudhary R.P., Bhatta K., and Subedi S. The most recent specimen was collected in 2024 by an M.Sc. Botany student.
