Human or AI, Text or Video? What Shapes Intentions to Engage with Fact-Checking Journalism

The experiment used health-related fact-checking materials as stimuli and systematically examined the effects of fact-checking agent and presentation format on perceived source credibility and three dimensions of engagement intentions (normative support, collaborative dissemination, and evidence-based rebuttal), while also testing the mediating role of source credibility.The data include experimental condition assignments, demographic information, source credibility scale scores, and measurements of the three engagement intention dimensions.

It can be used to replicate the main effects, mediation analyses, and subsequent exploratory modeling.
