<p><i>B. burgdorferi</i> wild-type (WT), <i>glpF</i> null mutant (<i>∆glpF</i>), <i>glpF</i> complement (<i>glpF</i>⁺), <i>glpK</i> null mutant (<i>∆glpK</i>), <i>glpK</i> complement (<i>glpK</i>⁺), <i>glpD</i> null mutant (<i>∆glpD</i>), and <i>glpD</i> complement (<i>glpD</i>⁺) strains were grown to ~7 × 10⁷ cells ml^-1 before collection by centrifugation, resuspension in RPMI + 100 µM glycerol and incubation for 24 h at 35°C. Equal amounts of whole cell lysates were separated by SDS-PAGE and analyzed by immunoblot with anti-MG antibodies to detect protein glycation and anti-FlaB antibodies as a loading control.</p>
