Description
I created this file by combining the following 2 files: GPDs, EVERY MC, Cum MC time, RMC and VCC, 20 July 2022, and GPDs, MC times, PEFO only, 18 Nov 2020 BOTH of these files were checked TWO TIMES Length of each MC = elapsed time that MC lasted (mins) = duration of MC This file has now been checked TWO TIMES on 20 July 2022 This file contains data from RMC and VCC only. I will need to merge this file with data from PEFO.
Each MC time is for a single MC. MCs for the same estrous female are grouped by GPD Female I started this file from SYSTAT file = GMCtime.SYS, which I created on 14 Aug 1997 for Hoogland 1998 I assume that I checked the SYSTSAT file TWO TIMES at creation GPD = Nyanzol marker for female for RMC and VCC; GPD = numerical JLH number for PEFO Length of each MC = length of each MC for all females from all three GPD colonies (mins) Remember: Many females did not elicit a single MC (i.e., Cumulative number of MCs = 0) This file includes only times for MCs--no information when no MC MC = Mating Call Two mating calls were not considered separate unless they were separated by >=30 seconds.

When a female elicited 3 separate MCs, for example, I list the female and the MCs on three different lines GPD Redondo Meadow Colony (RMC, studied in 2013 through 2016) was at Valles Caldera National Preserve (VCNP). GPD Visitor Center Colony (VCC, studied in 2017 and 2018) was also at VCNP. GPD colony at Petrified Forest National Park (PEFO) was studied from 1989 through 1995.

Length of each MC (mins) in this file used all MCs from all females--often with several data points from the same female. These numbers differ from numbers in Fig 16.5, which show the mean duration of MCs PER FEMALE for that female, with only one data point per female. All lengths are in MINUTES.
Shortly before statistical analyses, I added a few MCs for certain females. For PEFO, I used a non-integer number to designate previously undetected MCs for a new GPD female. Examples of new females with non-integer GPD female numbers include 16.5, 57.5, and 66.5.
Data from the SAME female in DIFFERENT years are considered independent. I have no data here from eartags--so I therefore cannot examine data from the same female in different years with this file. When several MCs for single female, I list the GPD female only once, but I list one one length of MC for every line--so that I can group data from the same GPD estrous female in the same year File name = Fig 16.4, GPDs, Length of mating calls, 23 May 2026
