Large crowd at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Pershing Square parking garage in Los Angeles, 1951

A man in a suit is standing on a wooden platform in the foreground at left, addressing a large crowd that has gathered in front of a bulldozer in the distance at center. More people can be seen sitting in chairs behind the speaker in the foreground at right.

At right, a group of people is standing around, talking, while several large boxes and cameras can be seen on the ground nearby. Tall trees are visible in the background, and large buildings can be seen further in the distance.
