The questions ask opinions about political leaders and other political issues within the country. There are also questions on other topics of interest and importance to the country and government, such as how courts deal with criminals, racial intolerance and labour unions.

The respondents were also asked questions so that they could be grouped according to geographic and social variables. Topics of interest include: the approval of Broadbent as NDP leader; the approval of Clark as leader of the Conservative party; the approval of Trudeau as Prime Minister; common activities; effects of labour unions; effects of public demonstrations; the future of the economy; how courts deal with criminals; reasons for increased racial intolerance; reforming the Constitution; strength of labour unions; and taking vitamins.
