A Study on the Relationship between Gender Related Variables and Work-Family Conflict: Family-Supportive Programs and Supervisory Support as Moderators

Listed in Harvard Dataverse

In this study, we explored the relationships among gender, gender-role attitudes, and work-family conflict.

Description

We gathered 238 valid data that are hi-tech workers from double-income families with at least one child, and the sample stood for the employees who perceived manifest work-family conflict in Taiwan society. We found that in Taiwan transforming society, the explanation effect of gender for work-family conflict was faded.

Instead, gender-role attitudes influence work-family conflict significantly. And aimed at other purposes of this study, we found some significant moderating effects of supervisory support and family-supportive programs on the relationships between gender-related variables and work-family conflict.
