Áfidos (Hemiptera: Aphididae) de Colombia, con nuevos registros para el norte de Sudamérica

Their damages may generate economic losses and become lethal to plants, due to diseases produced by the viruses that several aphids transmit.

Despite their importance, taxonomic inventories in the country are still incipient. Also, species studied in previous works are not represented by specimens in collections, which makes it difficult to achieve taxonomic corroborations. In the present work, we enrich the knowledge of aphid species for the country, as well as generate new records of species for northern South America.
