For details on the methods and further explanation of the data see the open access paper. Boreal_allseasons is the data from the boreal forest, mixed_allseasons is the data from the mixed forest, decid_allseasons is the data from the deciduous forests.

Species_count provides the counts of each tree species (living, with a diameter at breast height > 90 mm) in each forest plot. The datasets can be connected through the unique identifier number of each plot called id_pe_mes. Variable codes and definitions can be found in variable_codes.
