The database was developed as part of an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) conducted in accordance with IFC Performance Standards for a solar power plant project implemented on two distinct sites in Senegal.
Description
The project is led by SENELEC and supported by the French Development Agency (AFD). The database compiles avifaunal survey data, including the date and location of each observation, the species identified along with its taxonomic information, the observation method used, and a description of the surrounding environment.
Species identification was carried out by a local ornithologist and underwent a quality‑control process to ensure accuracy.
