The stability of m6A-marked transcripts is linked to cell identity in planarians [Actinomycin D assay]

Listed in NCBI GEO

To test the effect of m6A on mRNA stability, we performed an Actinomycin D assay to monitor mRNA decay kinetics over time in wildtype, unc22 (RNAi) control, and mettl14 (RNAi) conditions.

Description

Resulting transcript abundance data were analyzed in a time-series analysis, which revealed two distinct gene clusters: genes that displayed significantly faster transcript decay upon mettl14 (RNAi), and genes exhibiting slower decay rates in mettl14 (RNAi) conditions.
