Description
<p> Perisesarma maipoense (Soh, 1978) previously considered endemic to Hong Kong andMacau, is recorded from northern Vietnam, and redescribed based on a paratype and Vietnamese specimens.Perisesarma maipoense is characterized by a row of 5–8 fl attened, indistinct tubercles on the dorsal surfaceof the dactyl of the cheliped. This species prefers muddy through to hard substrates in mangrove areas nearthe water’s edge, with burrows as deep as 50 cm. <p> </p> The Raffles Bulletin of Zoology, 2010.
