Genetic mineralogical study of olivine-bearing diorite xenoliths in Guzhen diorite, Handan－Xingtai area, Southern Hebei Province

The central part of the North China Craton, where this region is located, experienced lithospheric mantle thinning during the Mesozoic era. The dominant mechanism, degree of influence, and specific process of this event have not yet reached consensus.

This study found xenoliths such as olivine and pyroxene in the diorite xenoliths of the Guzhen rock mass in the Hanxing area, which is an important research object for studying the failure of the North China Craton. The obtained diorite xenoliths will be ground into electron probe slices for petrographic observation, and typical minerals will be selected for analysis and testing. After carbon spraying treatment on the surface of the sample, electron probe analysis was conducted.
