Helminths of the rook (Corvus frugilegus) in Ukraine (1950–2024)

The data based on both historical and modern material collected over a 75-year period (1950–2024). During this time, 280 rooks were obtained (either found dead or collected specially) across various regions of Ukraine.

All helminth specimens were preserved in the collection of the I. I. Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which represents a part of the National Scientific Heritage of Ukraine. The dataset includes 2,287 individual helminth specimens representing 29 species (12 nematodes, 9 trematodes, 5 cestodes, and 3 acanthocephalans). Among 275 examined birds, 210 individuals (76.4%) were found to be infected with at least one helminth species.
