An Institutional Analysis of the Linkage between Higher Education and the Labor Market

On the other hand, we will analyze the functions of educational organizations, such as the placement offices, in linking their graduates to the labor markets. While the debate on the reform of Taiwan’s tracking system continues to be a central issue, the performances of graduates from different tracks in the labor markets have not been seriously studied. This study aims to explore results of the characteristics of tracking systems in the labor market, to identify the mechanisms in the linkage between higher education and the labor market, and their effects on the job-search process.

This study also attempts to deal with the issue of the effects of school-to-work transition to the relationship between higher education expansion and gender stratification.
