The dust samples were collected in January (winter) and June (summer) 2020 in Xiamen, China (Figure 1A). A total of 118 samples were collected in 59 kindergartens from six districts, including Xiang’an, Tong’an, Haicang, Jimei, Siming, and Huli. Downtown primarily consists of the Siming and Huli districts on Xiamen Island, which are identified as urban group, and districts off-island, i.e., Xiang’an, Tong’an, Haicang, and Jimei are classified as peri-urban group.
