Non Tariff Trade Measures System File

This series contains records documenting foreign non tariff trade barriers in goods. A record includes the code the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) used to identify the country with the non tariff measure (NTM) barrier, the standard code the United States used to identify the country with the NTM barrier, the NTM code, the description of the NTM code, the product that the NTM protects, the organization or company that brought the NTM to the attention of United States Trade Representative (USTR), USTR's legal opinion regarding the NTM, and an explanation of the effect the trade barrier has on the United States.
