Aeromagnetic anomaly grid in the area of Obergrafendorf and Melk (Lower Austria)

The dataset comprises processed magnetic total intensity anomalies derived from airborne geophysical surveys conducted in the area of Obergrafendorf and Melk (Lower Austria) between 2000 and 2002 by GeoSphere Austria in cooperation with the Austrian Federal Army.
Description
Data from the two survey campaigns (Obergrafendorf 2000 and Melk 2002) were harmonized and merged into a consistent regional dataset. Processing included correction for temporal variations of the Earth’s magnetic field, removal of the International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF), heading error correction, and upward continuation to a smoothed reference flight surface.
The data are provided as raster datasets (GeoTIFF) and are suitable for geological and geophysical analyses.
