State Felony Courts Files

The agency arranged for the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research to prepare the data and documentation for public use. This series contains information on the criminal justice administration of all state felony courts, including the number of cases filed and disposed by conv iction, acquittal, dismissal, or other means.

The file has summary data on the number of cases filed and disposed by defendant, charge, or indictment information and the number of cases disposed for juvenile delinquents. Information also includes the felonies reduced to misdemeanors and whether lower courts accepted guilty pleas to felonies. This data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC).
