Data from: Group Social Attention: How Collective Biological Motion Shapes Attentional Orienting

In Experiments 1–3, covert attention was measured by recording response times (RTs) to detect lateralized targets. In Experiment 4, overt attention was measured using eye-tracking during a free-viewing task.

Across four experiments, 86 graduate and undergraduate students (aged 18–29 years) were recruited, with 84 participants retained after data exclusion. All participants had normal or corrected-to-normal vision and provided informed consent. The dataset includes:- Raw data: behavioral data (.mat file), where applicable, eye-tracking data (.edf file), and questionnaire answers (.xlsx file) for each participant.- Stimulus materials: image stimuli used in Experiment 4.- Processing scripts: MATLAB codes (.m file) for RTs calculation and output.- Summarized data: aggregated data for each experiment (.xls or .xlsx file).For further details, please see ReadMe.docx included in the dataset.
