Crustacea Subphylum Collection (Orders Stomatopoda & Amphipoda) of the Zoology Museum of the University of Concepción

The specimens were collected between 1952 and 2017, primarily in Chile from the Tarapacá Region to the Magallanes Region and Chilean Antarctica, and to a lesser extent in the United States. They were collected by researchers and scientific expeditions, including the Metulia Project, CIMAR 7, CIMAR 8, CIMAR 11, Expedition Mar-Chile II, Knipovich Project.

Specimens are fluid-preserved in alcohol, and each is associated with a unique catalogue number (MZUC-UCCC) and a defined storage location within the museum. This dataset includes type material (holotypes, allotypes and paratypes) of several species deposited in the collection, including Ampelisca araucana (Gallardo, 1963), Cyamus catodontis (Margolis, 1954), Osornodella gabrielae (Pérez-Schultheiss, 2013), Parhyalella penai (Pérez-Schultheiss & Crespo, 2008), and Patagongidiella wefkoi (Pérez-Schultheiss, 2013).
