EDIA – Global Bird Monitoring Program of the Alqueva Dam (EFMA) Secondary Irrigation Network, Irrigation block C – Black-bellied Sandgrouse(Pterocles orientalis), diurnal point counts [2021]

The dataset contains records of the Black-bellied Sandgrouse (Pterocles orientalis) collected in a subset of the block C of the Secundary Irrigation Network of the Alqueva Dam (irrigation blocks of Baleizão-Quintos, Beringel-Beja, Cinco Reis, Ermida, Ervidel, Roxo-Sado and São Pedro-Baleizão) and a control zone, performed within the General Bird Monitoring Plan of the area, promoted by EDIA, S.A. Data were collected in the spring of 2021, in 19 census points (14 in the irrigation block of Ermida and five in a control zone).

Only the points effectively surveyed (two in the Ermidas block and five in the control zone) were included in this dataset. A total of 128 records of the target species was obtained.
