Dataset describing the impact of earthworms on Si dynamics in paddy fields in Northern Vietnam in 2023

This dataset describes the properties of earthworm casts and their surrounding reference soil in 23 different sites. Soil properties are pH (water and KCl), soil texture (sand, silt and clay fractions, in %), C (%) and phytolith contents (in g SiO2/kg soil), Al and Fe contents (total, in g/kg), and Al, Fe and Si contents extracted using acetic acid (Al_Ac, Fe_Ac and Si_Ac, in mg/kg).
