The male of Ropalidia chromis Polasek, 2024 is described herein, elucidating its distinctive phylogenetic and morphological characteristics. Supplementary distribution records and nesting data are provided for several African Ropalidia species, contributing to the understanding of their biogeography and ecology. Additionally, Ropalidia mutuntula nom. nov. is introduced as a replacement name for Ropalidia flavoscutellata Polasek, 2025, to resolve taxonomic ambiguities.
