Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala - Colección de Entomología - Lepidoptera

The whole collection focuses on hexapods, arachnids, myriapods and terrestrial isopods. It was founded in 1989 and maintain approximately 121,000 curated specimens.

The most represented groups are Odonata, Dermaptera, Orthoptera, Phasmida, Blattodea, Mantodea, Hemiptera, Megaloptera, Neuroptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, Lepidoptera and Hymenoptera. In addition, the collection contains type specimens from the orders Coleoptera, Lepidoptera, and Scorpiones. The main emphasis is on the entomofauna of Guatemala, particularly that of the protected areas managed by the USAC.
