Data and Code: Pollination ecology (pollen receipts and visitation rates) and population demography (reproductive success) of Lupinus perennis from the core to northern edge of its geographic range

Summary

The data were collected during the summers of 2022 and 2023, and include pollination ecology and population demography information. We collected the data to test which visitors are effective pollinators of the threatened sundial lupine (Lupinus perennis), then assess whether pollination declines from its range core to the northern range edge across six populations in the USA and Canada (Ontario). Particularly, we looked at visitation rates, pollen load on visitors, pollen receipt on stigmas, and how they relate to estimates of reproductive success for the flowering species (e.g. fruits per flowering inflorescence, seeds per flowering inflorescence, etc.).
