The movements of 35 seals were monitored via satellite, Antarctic, 2001 and 2002, GLOBEC

The seal's movements were tracked via Argos Service satellites for up to 4 months after release. The seal capture/release area consisted of: the continental shelf to the west of the Antarctic Peninsula extending from the northern tip of Adelaide Island to the southern portion of Alexander Island, Crystal Sound, and Marguerite Bay.
