AntAWS Dataset: A compilation of Antarctic automatic weather station observations.

The quality control includes the exclusion the records of sensor measurement range, physically anomalous values, and unrealistically rapid synoptic changes, checking the possible warm biases in the summer months, and a visual cross-comparison with ERA5 and MAR data.

The AntAWS includes the measurements of five parameters (i.e., air temperature, air pressure, relative humidity, and wind speed and direction) by 267 AWSs available from 1980 to 2021. In this dataset, two sets of the daily and monthly products were calculated using the 25% and 75% thresholds, i.e., at least two and six 3-hourly quality-controlled observation values available. After the quality control, records from 63 AWSs span more than 20 years, and 27 AWSs cover more than 30 years.
