Reserve Duty Military Personnel Master Files

The agency created this system to provide a centralized repository of military personnel information within the Department of Defense to assess manpower trends, support personnel management functions, perform longitudinal statistical analyses, and conduct scientific and other studies of reserve duty military personnel. This series contains personnel information about individual sailors and soldiers serving in the reserve components of the armed forces.

Personnel data elements include soci al security number, education level, mailing address, date of birth, marital status, number of dependents, race, ethnic group, name, and civilian occupation. Military data elements include service, pay grade, entry qualification scores, military occupation, unit identification, duty location, and other related information. This data comprises government records extracted from the Archival Research Catalog (ARC).
