<p dir="ltr">This Figshare item provides the complete supporting data, analysis code, a-priori protocol, and author manuscript for the systematic review and meta-analysis:</p><p dir="ltr"><b>Preoperative psychosocial risk factors and long-term disability after lumbar fusion surgery: a systematic review and meta-analysis of prognostic studies (Meta02).</b></p><h2 dir="ltr">Background</h2><p dir="ltr">Lumbar fusion is a common but heterogeneous procedure whose long-term disability outcomes vary widely.

Preoperative psychosocial factors (depression, anxiety, pain catastrophizing, fear-avoidance/kinesiophobia, coping/acceptance/self-efficacy, outcome expectancy, and multidimensional instruments such as STarT Back) are plausible prognostic markers, but their aggregate evidence base has not been synthesized.
