Rainwater Measurements

Listed in National Center for Atmospheric Research

The BioAerosols and Convective Storms (BACS) campaign aims to study the concentrations, distributions, types and wet deposition of bioaerosols surrounding periods of convective storms in a grassland environment.

Description

This data includes rainwater measurements taken at the Central Plains Experimental Range (CPER), which is a National Ecological Observation Network (NEON) site located in Colorado, USA (40.8155, -104.7456) from May 23 – June 17, 2022, and from May 22 – June 23, 2023.

Rainwater samples were collected in soil plot 3 located northwest of the NEON flux tower. Samplers were checked daily, and rainwater was collected for analysis whenever any accumulation was observed.
