This project systematically studies a new method for storage and release the APIs.
Description
It looked at a series of existing materials such as metal organic frameworks for storage Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and their release in a controllable manner. This project investigated the effect of MOF structure and morphology on the solubility of hydrophobic medicine.
MOFs possessed unique porous structures, which were flexible for some MOFs. The transformation of crystal phases happened when MOFs were exposed to the guest molecule absorption and desorption. This was a different mechanism or method for medicine delivery.

The project aimed to understand the performance of delivery materials with respect to their structures, requiring developing synthesis of novel delivery materials on a basis of current skills and knowledge through systemically analysis of literature, Different characterization techniques were used for understanding the material structures and properties. Through result analysis, a deep understanding of structure influencing APIs delivery has been obtained.<br>
