Multiregional Input - Output Accounts Files

The files were used to analyze the inputs needed by a particular industry sector in a state to produce a dollar's worth of output. They also used the files to measure the impact of changes in federal transfers on the local economy.

This series consists of four files: outputs, employment and payroll; final demands; interindustry flows; and interregional trade flows. The accounts include detail for the 50 states and the District of Columbia of over 120 intermediate industries, or sectors, that produce all goods and services in the economy; nine final demand sectors that account for the final use of these goods and services; and four accounts for the income flows and capital consumption allowances that constitute value added in each producing activity.
