Cloud Particle Probe Microphysics

The data were collected during the High Ice Water Content (HIWC) field campaign from July 8-30, 2022, based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Research flights were conducted over the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Caribbean Sea, primarily focusing on areas of high ice water content at typical jet aircraft cruise altitudes.

Additionally, most flights included a series of low-level flight legs to measure aerosol and microphysical profiles of oceanic towering cumulus clouds. There are additional data files from a flight on September 30, 2022. This was not a HIWC 2022 flight, but was a follow-on to HIWC 2022 using the same aircraft.
