Description
This dataset contains records of Antarctic benthic invertebrate morphotypes based on image observations. Images were taken using a GoPRO HERO 10 camera attached to a BlueROV filming the bottom of the Antarctic shallow seafloor.
This ROV was deployed during two separate expeditions ("TANGO1" and "TANGO2") in the Antarctic Peninsula during Austral summers of 2023 and 2024. The abundance data was partially published in Polar Biology (Katz et. al, 2025) and Ecology & Evolution (Katz et. al, 2026). This dataset is published as open data with technical support provided by SCAR Antarctic Biodiversity Portal (biodiversity.aq) (BELSPO project RT/23/ADVANCE).
