Flora surveys in l'Aquila (Italy) during 2023

Valter Di Cecco for Performance Minerals Emea, Imerys Minerali Spa. The study aims to provide an analysis of the environmental characteristics, with a focus on flora and vegetation inside and/or around Imerys sites in l'Aquila.

The study employed a floristic-vegetational approach, using the updated checklist of Italian vascular flora (Bartolucci et al., 2018) and other relevant publications. Field surveys were conducted between May and September 2023 to identify and map plant populations, assess phytocenoses, and record the presence of species. The study included 15 phytosociological surveys and additional floristic surveys, totaling 18 surveys, to create a comprehensive floristic checklist.
