A dataset of litterfall production amount in the nitrogen and phosphorus addition experiment of evergreen broad-leaved forest in Tiantong (2011–2023)

This dataset was collected from the long-term nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) addition experimental platform established in late 2010 at the Zhejiang Tiantong National Forest Ecosystem Research Station.
Description
The experiment includes six treatments: control (CK), low N addition (LN), high N addition (HN), phosphorus addition (P), combined low N + P addition (LN+P), and combined high N+P addition (HN+P). Each treatment consists of three replicate plots of 20 m × 20 m, with four 1 m × 1 m litter traps installed in each plot.
Since January 2011, litterfall was collected monthly, oven-dried at 75°C to constant weight and separated into four components: leaves, branches, flowers and fruits, and debris. Each component was weighed using an electronic balance with a precision of 0.01 g. This dataset includes one data file containing two worksheets: monthly and annual litterfall production from 2011 to 2023 across treatments, with 936 and 78 records, respectively.

The monthly litterfall production worksheet includes fields for treatment, year, month, mean dry weight of total litterfall dry weight and its components and their standard errors, with all expressed in kg·hm⁻²·month⁻¹. The annual litterfall production worksheet includes fields for treatment, year, mean dry weight litterfall dry weight and its components and their standard errors, where component dry weights are in kg·hm⁻²·year⁻¹ and total litterfall dry weight is in t·hm⁻²·year⁻¹.
