Normalized bibliographic dataset on the tumor immunometabolism–cancer immunotherapy nexus (Web of Science and Scopus, 2001–2025)

The topic combines three concept blocks: malignant disease, metabolic processes in immune cells, and immunotherapy (including immune checkpoint blockade, PD-1/PD-L1/CTLA-4-directed therapy, CAR-T/TCR-T cells and adoptive cell therapy).Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus were searched on 26 July 2026.

Eligible records were English-language journal Articles or Reviews published between 2001 and 2025. Web of Science returned 3,386 records, of which 164 non-Article/Review records and eight non-English records were excluded, leaving 3,214 records (2,175 Articles and 1,039 Reviews); Scopus returned 3,602 records, of which 79 non-English records and ten non-journal records were excluded, leaving 3,513 records. The two databases were analysed as independent corpora and were not pooled or deduplicated.The dataset provides the complete analysis-ready tables underlying the manuscript: the current Web of Science record-level table (3,214 rows; publication year, document type, journal, number of references, number of authors, JCR year, journal impact factor, impact-factor stratum and JCR match status), the corresponding Scopus record-level table (3,513 rows), annual and cumulative publication series by document type, country and affiliation metrics (SCP, MCP, MCP %, total citations, citations per article), top-journal metadata and yearly output, leading-author metrics (dataset H-index and recalculated citations) with yearly activity, keyword frequency and yearly cumulative trends, the complete statistical comparison table with test statistics, effect sizes and Benjamini–Hochberg-adjusted P values, and all quality-control tables (country, affiliation and keyword endpoint checks).Supporting files document the harmonization steps: the documented synonym dictionary applied to author keywords, the raw-to-normalized keyword mapping, the author name disambiguation and affiliation resolution records, and a terminology ledger.
