Spatiotemporal and phytochemical mechanisms of tropical tree coexistence: analysis data and code

The study integrates long-term observations of seedling recruitment and survival with spatial information and leaf phytochemical profiles derived from untargeted metabolomics to examine how temporal, spatial, density-dependent, and chemistry-mediated processes jointly influence seedling dynamics and species coexistence.The deposited materials include processed data used for the analyses of recruitment timing, spatial structure, neighborhood density dependence, and phytochemical relationships among species, together with derived chemical similarity metrics, model inputs, statistical outputs, and code required to reproduce the main analyses and figures presented in the associated study.The original long-term seedling demographic monitoring data are not included in this repository.

The deposited dataset is intended to support reproducibility of the analyses reported in the associated study and may also facilitate methodological development and comparative research on spatiotemporal niche differentiation, conspecific negative density dependence, phytochemical similarity, and biodiversity maintenance in tropical forest communities.
