Transcriptome datasets of spleen tissues during hibernating and active states in the greater horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum)

Listed in NCBI GEO

Hibernation is a complex physiological response for animals to adapt to extreme environmental conditions, which can affect the functions of immune organs such as the spleen.

Description

We used comparative transcriptomics to study functional changes of the spleen during hibernating and active states by comparing transcriptomes generated from spleens of four physiological states (Summer Active, Torpor, Arousal and Winter Active) in the greater horseshoe bat.
