A new species of the genus Stenocranus Fieber, 1866, S. lii Tang, Chen & Yang, sp. nov., is described from Guizhou Province in southwestern China. The eggs and nymphs of S. montanus Huang & Ding, 1979 are also described. A key to the nymphs of S. montanus is provided.
