Public Debt Accounting and Reporting System (PARS) Files

The agency used PARS to generate various reports including the Daily Treasury Statement (DTS) and the Monthly Statement of the Public Debt (MSPD). This series contains data on the public debt, debt instruments, and interest cost on the last day of the fiscal year.

The primary data file from this system, Detail Transaction Journal, contains a ll detail transactions received by PARS after passing edit checks. The other data files include information that identifies valid reporting entities; lists inflation compensation payment data by date, reporting entity, and Committee on Uniform Security Identification Procedures (CUSIP); lists by CUSIP, data defining the terms of the issue; lists by CUSIP and dated date, data relating to payment of interest for a loan; lists by CUSIP and calendar date, issue and redemption data for Treasury Inflation Index Security (TIIS); lists interest payment data by interest payment date, reporting entity, and CUSIP; lists data regarding issue, redemption, stripping and reconstitution; and defines major loan classes and lists by minor loan class code.
