Records About the Corporate Organization of Savings and Loan Institutions

It used this information to provide corporate structure data electronically to other agency database systems and to create reports on the thrift industry both from a national and individual institution perspective. This series contains information on the Federal and state chartered savings and loan associations that have federal insurance or are regulated by the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS).

Data came from approved applications for changes in corporate structure, such as mergers, sales or purchases of assets, amendments to charter provision, or charter conversions. The system consists of three files. The Corporate Structure Tape File has information on the institution as it existed at the last corporate change and includes docket number, institution name and address, charter type, brief history, dates of OTS regulation, insurance type, minority ownership, and assets.
