This study was carried out to assist in the formulation of a gender strategy for pastoral communities in the North Eastern province of Kenya.
Description
It explores the role of the pastoral woman in livestock management and health care, analyses methodologies that support the pastoral women in her traditional role, explores her importance in effective, sustainable and equitable delivery of animal health systems, and identifies the constraints that undermine women's participation and involvement in development initiatives.
