Gridded hourly precipitation dataset at 1 km resolution over Anhui Province 2008 – 2018

The gridded hourly precipitation data at high spatial-temporal resolution is highly needed for the study on the climate change and the meteorological risk easements. On the basis of the hourly precipitation observed from about 2000 regional stations and 81 national stations, taking advantage of the thin plate smoothing spline method, the best model parameters are chosen firstly by comparing the accuracy of different model parameters.

Hereafter, the Gridded hourly precipitation dataset at 1 km resolution over Anhui Province 2008 – 2018 are established using the best model parameters. This dataset can fully grasp the seasonal and spatial variations of precipitation over Anhui province, which can be used in the numerical model analysis and risk assement of floods in the future.
